Below, I have cut & pasted all of the Harris road orders that I found online posted by the VA DoT. I'm going to post the Harris entries that I downloaded for one county at a time. I hope you find them helpful FAIRFAX CO, VA 15 November 1773, page 287 The Persons appointed to view a way for a Road from Alexander Henderson's Plantation on Bull Run into the main Road returned the following Report, Vizt. "In obedience to an order of the worshipfull Court of Fairfax County We the Subscribers have viewed a way for a Road from the Plantation of Alexander Henderson on Bull run to the main Road, and we find the way most convenient for the Neighbourhood to be from the lower part of the said Henderson's Plantation by the Tobacco Ground of Yelverton Reardon, the Plantation of William Moon, through the Lane between the Plantations of Marmaduke Beckwith and James Keen through the plantation of Sampson Turley / to which we are told he consents on Condition that the Surveyor of the road is obliged to keep up two Gates) and from thence with the Line of William Simpson by the Plantation of Peter Ryley to the main Road but if Mr. Turley does not consent to the road going thro' his Plantation then we find the most convenient way to be round the same towards Occoquan John Reed, John Cotton Junr. Thomas Lucas Whereupon it is ordered that John Cotton Junr. who is appointed Surveyor clear the same according to the above Report and that he affix two Gates on the Road through Sampson Turley's Plantation and it is also ordered that the following persons with their Titheables assist to clear the said Road Vizt.
