    1. [HARRIS-HUNTERS] reply to pat clare re william hudson/ my judith hudson harris # 1
    2. pat   first of all, i want to thank sandy for posting these court road order items re harrises and, especially in my case, the ones for lunenburg co, va.   i had found this lunenburg co, va court road orders myself earlier and they were helpful and later i have some comments also in regard to these items.   again, these lunenburg co, va court road order items also do show my william harris, sr/ frances goode's association with her father, my mackerness goode. sr and also with the same individuals/ families also associated with his father, my william harris/ judith hudson.   pat, there is NO documentation that my peter hudson, sr had a 1st wife, who would have been the mother of my judith hudson harris and her sister, sarah parker, but this IS definitely what the info does indicate.   there IS documentation that martha was married to halcott pride before she married my peter hudson, sr ca 1723 in henrico co, va.   martha and halcott pride had three daughter who were NOT infants when halcott pride died.    what do you think my peter hudson, sr was doing the whole time that martha was married to halcott pride?   do you have proof that martha was the mother of my judith hudson harris or exactly when my judith hudson harris was born or when she married my william harris?   earlier when you learned that  reuben harris, son of my william harris/ judith hudson, who was age 95-100 on the 1830 mecklenburg co, va census and who would have been born, then, ca 1730- 1735, you speculated and, again, i reiterate you speculated that my judith hudson harris must have been a child bride in order to have been the mother of reuben harris.   let's split the diiference here and let's say that reuben harris was born in 1732 and my judith hudson harris was age 15 when she had reuben, this would mean that she would have been born in 1717 and that is still 6 years before my peter hudson, sr married martha in 1723.   there is NO way that martha would have been the mother of my judith hudson harris.   there is also NO proof that reuben harris was the oldest son of my william harris/ judith hudson.    in fact, given that my william harris, sr/ frances goode was the earliest and/ or, for that matter, the only one of their sons to be shown to have been directly and definitely associated with them, per these early lunenburg co, va deeds and records,  i would say that my william harris, sr/ frances goode was probably their oldest son and, again, the info indicates that he was born ca 1726.   speaking of martha and halcott pride, again, i have posted in the past, per these lunenburg co, va deeds, which i will cite again, that land john brunsfield sold to my william harris, sr/ frances goode and which was witnessed by my mackerness goode, sr, my william harris, sr/ frances goode, then, sold to gray briggs.   this was gray briggs sister, mary briggs, who married a younger halcott pride, who was related to the older halcott pride who had been married to martha, who, then, remarried my peter hudson, sr.   again, gray briggs was married to dorothy pleasants and her grandfather or great- grandfather john pleasants purchased land in henrico co, va from abraham childress, jr, which had belonged to our major william harris.   again, i have posted all of this info previously but here, again, are these deeds re john brunskill to my william harris, sr/ frances goode which was the same land he sold to gray briggs.   lunenburg co, va deed book 4, page 247, 1754, john brunskill of amelia co, va to william harris of lunenburg co, va for 55 pds, 400 acres  in lunenburg on both sides of the middle fork of the bluestone creek and bounded by new lines. signed:  john brunskill.  william key; george berry, his mark, mackerness goode, his mark.   lunenburg co, va deed book 6, page 216, sept 3, 1760, william harris and wife, frances, to gray briggs, attorney, for 200 pds 400 acres on middle fork of bluestone creek, patent to brunskill. wit:  clement reade, jr; p. carrington; clement reade.  frances, wife of william harris, relinquished her right of dower     to be continued:     belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8--------26910
