    1. [HARRIS-HUNTERS] reply again to carol re wilminton harris, etc, # 6
    2. here again, and to repeat, is the info from the equity records of edgefield co, sc showing that richard winn was the son-in-law of james hall of lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va and who was the same jame hall, who had moved to and died in 1794 in edgefield co, sc.   again, this was the same james hall, who my william harris, sr/ frances goode, had sold this land to in this middle fork of the middle bluestone creek area and other info i have posted in the past also connects james hall and his uncle stephen evans with both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and my william harris/ judith hudson as well as with my mackerness goode, sr there in lunenburg co, va.   for example, here again is info from the lunenburg co, va court orders book showing that my william harris, sr/ frances goode; my william harris/ judith hudson; john wilborn; stephen evans and/ or any three of them were to value the land of daniel williams in lunenburg co, va.   this is from the lunenburg co, va court orders book 4, 1755-1757: page 171: ordered that stephen evans; william harris/ (judith hudson)/ john wilborn; william harris, finneywood, (my william harris, sr/ frances goode) or any three of them to value the land of daniel williams in this county, 1755. also this item from cumberland parish/ lunenburg co, va vestry book records: Precinct # 25: ordered that william harris, finneywood, and william harris, woodpecker, and stephen evans meet and procession the land between the bluestone creek; the parish line and the roanoke river, 1759.     again, the equity records of edgefield co, sc show that richard winn was the son-in-law of james hall and richard winn/ sarah hall had stayed in mecklenburg co, va and, as shown, to follow, richard winn was involved with the estate of my judith hudson harris.   Source: Genealogical Abstracts of Edgefield Co, SC Equity Court Records: "William HALL vs Richard WINN. Many of defendants, children of Miles HALL, Richard WINN, Thomas HOLLOWAY, Elizabeth POOLE, Patsy HALL, Armstead HALL reside out of state, they are given three months to plead from the publication of this notice in Richmond Enquier. Mary SNEAD et al vs Jane COBB & others. Mary HART, Cecilia HART, Claiborne.(no second page)." Note: This information is at the end of a much larger record between Susanna RAMBO and other names that intermarried with the known families.   here is also, again, info re the estate of my judith hudson harris.   The inventory of William Harris, deceased was not brought to  court until 1796 Book 3, p. 384. It appears this must mean that the estate  remained  intact until the death of the widow, Judith Harris  WILLS  Book 3 p. 384 1788-1798  Estate of the late William Harris, deceased brought in Nov. 9,  1796 by  William Lucas, Richard Ragsdale, Richard Winn then returned Nov.  1797.  Includes: Slaves: Lucy, Cate, George, [with Judith in 1790 -  pat]  Aley and child Letty, and Moses,  also Ritter, John, Tisha,  Nancy and a second Lucy.  5 Walnut tables 2 glass bottles  6 flagged  chairs 2 books  2 pine chests 1 parcel of pewter  1 gun 2 pine  chests  1 bed and furniture 1 bay horse  1 bed and furniture and much  else  Wills Book 4 p. 1412 1798-1802 Estate of William Harris deceased, property sold by William  Hudson and  William Harris, *****1798 June 6th Debts:  To Thomas Vaughan at suit of Duncan and Co   To Boyd and Voucher To Robert Harris To Claiborne Harris To William  Harris To Richard Allen To William Mumford and others  also to John  Cox for crying the estate Credit:  Celia and child sold to Samuel  Harris George sold to Robert Harris******************* Moses sold to  Manly Allgood Lucy sold to Claiborne Harris Little Lucy and Nancy, also to  above  Cate to Sherwood Harris Letitia to Reuben  Harris************************* Ritter to Samuel Harris  Jonathan,  also In the settlement in 1798, Reuben acquires  Letitia.    On his tax list in 1799 is 'Titia' over 12 and under  16.   In 1830, Titia is in his will, per the chancery suit of 1852,  and in 1852 'Titia' goes to Martha Harris Puryear. a laurens co, sc deed shows that my william harris, sr/ frances goode had died by 1796 but, again, except that he did NOT die in laurens co, sc, i do NOT know where he died?    so, he was not the william harris involved with my william harris/ judith hudson's estate there in mecklenburg co, va, along with william hudson, there in 1796/ 1798 and, apparently, also not my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers who died in 1799 laurens co, sc.    i have not been and am  still NOT able to identify this william harris involved with the estate of my judith hudson harris,  except, again, to say that he was definitely not my william harris, sr/ frances goode or his son, my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers who died in 1799 in laurens co, sc.     obviously this william harris would have been definitely related to my judith hudson harris.   again, my william harris/ judith hudson had 10 sons and everyone of them, including my william harris, sr/ frances goode could or did have a son named william harris.   again, as i have said many times in the past, despite having obtained this ca 1770 grant in laurens co, sc, there is NO evidence that my william harris, sr/ frances goode ever moved to laurens co, sc or that he died there.   for all i know and have been able to learn, he may have stayed in this lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va area and may have even re-married and had a son, william harris, jr by a 2nd wife.     there are things i still just do NOT know.   what i do know, however, is this:    per every thing i have studied, noted and learned and have continued to learn re these lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va records, and have talked about and shown somewhat incessantly now on harris hunters, is:    that my willam harris, sr/ frances goode is definitely shown and indicated to have been the son of my william harris/ judith hudson also of lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va.   again, there is also this 1750 dodson survey for this land on wynn creek for william harris, sr and jr, which became a patent to my william harris, sr/ frances goode in 1758, which does confirm that this was my william harris, sr/ frances goode who was the son of my william harris/ judith hudson.   to be continued:   belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8------26910
