this was my william harris, sr/ frances goode, who, along, with william hudson, his brother, reuben harris, etc, who were involved with the will of his father, my william harris/ judith hudson there in 1778 in mecklenburg co, va. this william hudson, involved with the will of my william harris/ judith hudson and still involved with the estate of my judith hudson harris, is definitely indicated to have been her 1/2 brother, william hudson and who was also the son of my peter hudson, sr. again, my peter hudson, sr's 1752 halifax co, va will names my judith hudson harris and her sister sarah parker as his daughters. there is NO info that states that my peter hudson's wife, martha, and who, again, is definitely indicated to have been his 2nd wife, was the mother of my judith hudson harris. there is also NO definite date of when my william harris/ judith hudson were married. to continue, the same william hudson involved with both the 1778 mecklenburg co, va will of my william harris/ judith hudson and who was still involved with the 1796/ 1798 estate of my judith hudson harris was the same william hudson, who, again, my william harris, sr/ frances goode also sold land to in this same middle fork of the middle bluestone creek area. he was also the same william hudson, per the info to follow, who also moved to laurens co, sc. lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 508, 1759, william harris of lunenburg co, va to william hudson of same for 30 pds, 100 acres on the lower side of the middle fork of bluestone creek, part of 2 tracts granted to henry thweatt and part to william harris 1749, being on william hunt's corner and the land william harris lives on. wit: christopher hudson; joel elam. there are lunenburg co, va deeds i have posted in the past, but will not re-post here, which show that this henry thweatt sold this same land to my william harris, sr/ frances goode. again, as i have already cited, my william harris, sr/ frances goode sold this land also to william hunt, which bounded william hudon, and the following lunenburg co, va deed also connects this same joel elam with my mackerness goode, sr and his brother, william goode. info i cannot confirm says that joel elam and his brothers there in lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va were the sons of john elam/ martha goode, younger sister of my mackerness goode, sr and his brother, william goode. these lunenburg co, va deeds do show that joel elam was definitely involved with my mackerness goode, sr and william goode. lunenburg co, va deed book 3, page 493, 1754, william goode of lunenburg to mackerness goode of same for 120 pds, 300 acres on bluestone creek, part of a greater tract which william goode holds by patent 1751, bounded by branch of creek; harriss. witnesses: phillip goode; edward elam; joel elam. pheby, wife of william goode, relinquished her dower. again, this was also the same william hudson, whose daughter ursula hudson married in 1782 in mecklenburg co, va james pool and it was his brother, alexander pool, who married angelina crowder, daughter of dr abraham crowder, jr, who, again, was the same abraham crowder, sr or jr also involved with both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and james harris, who is also indicated to have been the son of my william harris/ judith hudson. again, both alexander pool and his brother, james pool, were the sons of this alexander pool, who died in 1767 in mecklenburg co, va and they were bound out to the ragsdales, who, again, were also involved with both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and my william harris/ judith hudson there in lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va. the ragsdales are a key family re my harris family period. again, alexander pool/ angenlina crowder also witnessed my william harris/ judith hudson's 1778 mecklenburg co, va will. again, william hudson also moved to laurens co, sc and, again, here is the laurens co, sc deed wherein william hudson gave land in laurens co, sc and rutherford co, nc to his son-in-laws: james pool; william wilborn; and jeremiah wilborn. laurens co, sc deed book J, page 146, 1809, william hudson to my son-in-law james pool and dau ursula; my son-in-law william wilborn and my dau cary; my son-in-law jeremiah wilborn and dau polly of edgefield dist, sc 1--two tracts on the beaverdam creek of reedy river; 2- two other tracts in rutherford co, nc on simms creek of little broad river. wit: anderson crowder, joseph field. john lyon, j.q.e.d. here again is the info showing that james pool and his brother, alexander pool were bound out to the ragsdales and also that alexander pool witnessed my william harris/ judith hudson's 1778 mecklenburg co, va will. again, this info is from the mecklenburg co, va court records: Alexander Poole, s/o Alexander Poole, bound out to Richard Ragsdale, 1767 Alexander Poole's estate sale money to go to Churchwardens, St.James Par. 1770 James Poole, orphan of Alexander Pool, bound out to Benjamin Ragsdale, 1770; to be bound out again 1776 by Ch'ward. per the marriage records of mecklenburg co, va, alexander pool, son also of alexander pool and brother of james pool, married in 1790 mecklenburg co, va to angelina crowder, who, per the info was the daughter of dr abraham crowder, jr.
