Would someone please post marriage documents, dates and places and other specific information (like wills, Douglas register, etc.) that specifically note maiden names, parents, etc for the following marriages: (I know I'm asking a lot here!!!!!) William Harris/Mary Hiter William Harris/ Mary Todd William Harris/Mary Tyler William Harris/Diane Chisman Goodwin William Harris/ an Osborne William Harris/Anne Overton Harris I have all these names in my files and have no idea of the connection, if there is any!, between any of them. In my studies of the Harris surnames I too have become very confused. I just want to get it straight in my mind, about just which Harris belongs to whom, how, why and proof. I am beginning to believe that there have been marriages between unrelated Harris bloodlines and families which has confused the issue greatly. I have no idea at this point at just whom to connect my Capt William Harris/Mary Hudson (as recorded in the Douglas Register). I have Harris families that marry into Talley, Tate, Ware, for example. At this point I have no idea if they connect with my Capt William and Mary Hudson Harris at all. Yikes!!!
