Hi, I am new to this list and have been having horrible trouble locating my Harris family in Wales. My ggrandfather was John Harris b 1865-1867. I have been unable to find his birth and am not sure of the date as he has written a nuber of different dates on his Australian War Service Record. His father was John Harris also b 1844. I beleive I have found them in the 1851 census for Skewen John Harris b Glamorgan 1812 Jane b Glamorgan 1815 Elizabeth Davies b Glam 1836 Ann b Glam 1842 Jane b Glam 1843 John b Glam 1844 William b Glam 1846 Mary b Glam 1848 Henry b Cmn 1850 John Harris (b1844) married Martha Powell in Neath 1865. children John b Neath 1865-1867 Evan b Neath 1868 Bertie b USA 1875 Martha b 1887 NSW Australia Hope someone has anything on this family.
