Am still hoping to get some info on the John Harris family who settled in PA and the same John Harris who is credited with naming Harrisburg. I know that my great-grandfather, the Rev. Jacob Harris, left Harrisburg and went south about the time the Civil War started. He settled first in Trade, TN, and later went to Grandfather Mountain, NC. My grandfather, Roy Robeson Harris, was born in NC about 1880. I am looking for info prior to the Rev. Jacob Harris.
