I found the following Will in a Walton County GA Deed Book even though it is a Will written in Morgan County GA. I am not related to this family but since it was recorded in such an unexpected place, I am posting it with the hope that it helps someone who is researching this family. I George Harris Sr of the aforesaid State & county being of sound desposing mind and memory do make ordain and constitute and appoint this my last will and testament hereby revoking and disanulling all former Wills heretofore by me made. First: I give and bequeath to my wife Salley Harris all my property both real and personal to have and to hold during her widowhood and if she should intermarry or die it is then my will and desire that all my property both real and personal be divided between my children herein after named that is to say Hiram Harris Berry Harris Matthew Harris Phenaty Harris Elbert Harris Patsey Harris & Jesse Harris so as to make each of the shares of the above named children shares equal in value to my four sons shares which I have allready given Three Hundred and fifty dollars too that is to say William C. Harris Micajah Harris John Harris and George Harris Junr. and if there should then be any surplus property then it is my will and desire that the same be equally divided between all my Children of aforesaid share and share alike. 2 only I do hereby appoint my wife Sally Harris Executrix and my friends George Harris Jr. and Robert R. Billups Executors to this my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 15th May 1820.
