The Freedmen Project information we received was much too much! I am not part of this and did not appreciate all those many e-mails for something I did not want or need. Had this person simply sent an e-mail that this information was available upon request, I would have thought nothing of it. But, the fact that I opened several to be certain that it was nothing I needed or wanted and then had to delete all the others, I found it to be a lazy way of getting information out. Not every Harris is Indian or other race. We are English (or as some like to say, WASP). Thanks for listening. They told it was coming. We knew what the Freedmen Project was. Therefore if we did not have ancestors who fit the criteria, then all we had to do was delete the emails unopened. These messages are archived. If someone comes along 2 years from now who DOES need the information and the address of the sender is no longer viable, the information is there. I didn't need the info either so just deleted unopened. Dissemination of information on these lists is a good thing. --- Loy H <loy_h@excite.com> wrote: > The Freedmen Project information we received was > much too much!
