JAMES WASHINGTON LARKINS was the son of Thomas Calvin LARKINS He was born 31 January 1826 in Carroll county, Ohio. He was the third child of Thomas C. LARKINS and Sarah Bartlett. James married Catherine ROBINAULT 22 March 1855 in Seneca county, Ohio. James and Catherine had nine children (see below). James was a carpenter and many of the homes and barns around Ottawa were built by him. Some of the children were born in Ohio, and some were born in Michigan. The Ridge Road cemetery, near Oakley, Michigan was set off fron land that belonged to him. Many Larkins, Boyds, and Harrises are buried in this cemetery. James W. and Catherine Larkins had nine children: 1. James Edward Larkins m. Ida M. Bashelier and lived near Oakley, Michigan. 2. Mary Catherine Larkins married Alexander R. Harris and lived on Ridge Road near Oakley, Michigan. 3. William Calvin Larkins lived near Oakley, Michigan. 4. Ida Larkins married Elliot Cester Woodruff and lived near Oakley, Michigan but lived in Belmore, Ohio at one time. 5. Dora Larkins married _____Overpack lives near Oakley. 6. Emma Larkins married 1st David Runyan and lived near Oakley. 7. Ella Larkins married Amos Glick and lived on West Peet Road near Oakley, Michigan. 8. Nettie Larkins married Porter and livednear Belmore, Ohio. 9. Grace Larkins (1872- 1923) married Albert Overpack and lived near Oakley, MI. Richard G. Boyd
