My gggg-grandfather William Harris born 8-25-1755 on the James River in Cumberland Co, Virginia, married a Lou Rita and was a soldier of the American Revolution. In March 1838, he was residing in Barren County, Kentucky, where he had been living for 21 years. His children were William, Nancy, Anderson, Lucy, John, Richard and Samuel. William's father, who also was a William, married the half sister of Andrew Spence Monroe, whose son was president James Monroe. Andrews parents were Andrew Monroe III and Christian Tyler. These William Harris' were researched years ago for membership in DAR. I would like to share information with others researching this line. Thank you.
