Hello, My main research is KIDDER .. and they were centered around Washington County and Aroostook County, MAINE. My great-grandfather was born in Princeton, ME, in 1870. One of my "distant cousins" and I ... have been searching for information on one of my great-grandfather's sisters (and her great-grandfather's sister). Joseph and Clarissa (WILKINS) KIDDER had six children in Princeton, ME, from 1870 until her untimely death in ~1885. My great-grandfather came down to the Boston, MA, area. His two brothers moved over to the Berlin, NH, area. The three sisters .. have been very difficult to trace. But, just yesterday, my "distant cousin" wrote and told me that "Rilla" Kidder ended up living in NEW BRUNSWICK .. with her husband ... John Howard HARRIS.. They had married in Houlton, MAINE, in 1901. And, she found out that they had a daughter, Margaret Jean Harris who was born in 1906 in New Brunswick, Canada. ....... I am curious if anyone has additional information on this family. My understanding is that John H.. Harris .. arrived in Houlton, ME, in 1895, and on Census stated he was born in Canada .. (which Province??).. On same Census .. there was a 5-year-old girl, Effie Harris ... and we are curious whether John was previously married.) (Ruth Kidder also married in Houlton, ME, and she married Alex MOORE, from Moore families which lived in both Houlton .. and Woodstock, NB. Julia Kidder married John ROBINSON in Winslow, ME.)
