Jan: I keep looking at this line and the correspondence on it, and the name Alexander keeps popping up....and of course all the regular Harper names: Joseph, John, William, George, Harriett, etc.....but the Frederick Co., VA area was not the normal stalking grounds of my Harpers, so I must not get too excited. That area was abundant with Harpers that are not connected to mine.....that we know of. So many PA Harpers came that way. Most of all my Harpers went to GA, AL and west....although there is some indication that a branch went to TN and then north...but that is so far a stretch that I can't prove didly.... But, I am watching...would love to have your gedcom to put in my working files if you care to share....I'll share anything I have on my Harpers if you would like. But stay in touch.....we're all in this together....and slowly the different lines are taking shape. Maybe in another five years we might have them fairly sorted......just being hopeful!!! your friend in research shirley gail holley-sova selma, al "Janice A.
