You bet this sounds familiar. This Archibald has got to be tied in the my family tree somewhere out of Surry/Sussex/Dinwiddie Co., VA. William Sr., m to Frances Wyatt, had children: William Jr., Wyatt, Mildred, Edward, Frances, Martha, and Benjamin. Edward is my line. His sister, Martha "Patsy" b 1739 was married to John Rivers. The Wynns are one of the allied families in that area...[too much to go into here]. Somewhere around 1785 after the Revolution these families start migrating. William I had a brother Joseph of Dinwiddie/Prince George Cos, VA, and these families started splitting up and heading either to TN, or to GA, and points west. The families that migrated through Russell Co., VA to TN are real fuzzy, and records hard to find. Many of us are working on it. Would love to hear from anyone that can help with this line. Let me hear from you.
