    3. I would just like to bring to your attention that there is a Harper Surname DNA project ongoing. It can be accessed at www.familytreedna.com, click on Surname projects, click on Harper and select H. I encourage anyone researching Harpers to get male Harpers of their kin to be tested. This way DNA plus paper records can prove invaluable for deciphering genealogical enigmas. I should note that one member of the Jacob Harper aka Herber has already been tested. You do not have to be related to any particular line to research your own family, as there can be many subgroups within the same name. By joining a group you will save money, as there is a group rate for the various tests available. Look forward to seeing new participants. I have several Harper connections in Pendleton County, WV. One of them is your Joshua Harper and Catherine Conrad. Joshua was the son of Adam Harper a Mary Vance, da. of John Vance (my ancestor). Catherine's parents were Jacob and Madlean Conrad. It is recommended you resubmit your query no less than once every year.
