Most of my information on this family comes from family data that I inherited and I imagine his existence is mentioned in that, but I can't prove it at the moment. His father Joseph, again according to family information, was born in 1790 but it does not say where. Interestingly for your question, though, I do have his mother Agnes 'Nancy' Major, born in Harford Co Maryland 12 Dec 1792. So maybe that is where they came from. They did not connect to my people until they, or some of them, got to Belmont Co, OH. I have not really tried to trace the Harpers back - I am not descended from them myself, but I am trying to find descendants of Samuel Alexander Harper (brother of the William you asked about) and Margaret Price TAYLOR (my greatgrandfather's sister), who would be my cousins. Hope this helps though I am not confident it will. Please let me know if you connect and know or find out any more about this family. Does Nebraska sound right to you? Jan
