Hi! Are any of you researching HARPER ancestors who emigrated from Liverpool, Lancashire to Australia in the early 1920's? I had an uncle, Albert HARPER, who did just that. His wife's name was Ann and he had 5 children (my cousins): ***Frederick Richard HARPER, b. abt. 1919, England--married Nora Grace SALMON in Hurstville, in 1942 ***Cyril HARPER, b. abt. 1921, England--I don't know who he married. ***Edith HARPER, b. abt. 1923, England, married Ronald OXLEY ***Petrine HARPER, b. abt. 1925, England--married first to Raymond Charles CURTOIS in Rockdale, in 1944 and later--abt. 1948, married Marcus Matthew MILLER. She and Marcus had two girls: I believe the eldest name is Ann Marie but don't know the name of the other one. ***Phillip HARPER, b. abt. 1927, Australia. All but Edith and Phillip are dead. I have located Edith and Phillip, and their children. Frederick had no children but Petrine had 2 and Cyril had several. It's a long shot, but if any of you see this posting, I would love to hear from you. Your grandfather, Albert HARPER was my mother's brother.
