Thanks to Didikins I found out something I didn't know about my Louis Gunn Harper. Apparently he married twice. His first wife was Hannah Rettie Cyphers. Their children is where I'm descended from. Now I'm dying to know when he divorced Hannah and if he had any other children I should be made aware of... here's what didikins sent me: I found a Louis G. Harper in District 23, Robinson Township, Brown County, Kansas. With him is a Hattie E. He is 78 and was born in Ohio. His father was born in Virginis and his mother in Ohio. Hattie or Hettie was 64. She was born in Ohio as were both of her parents. This is roll T626_694, page 3B, ED 23, Image 0970. I found Louis Gunn Harper listed in the Family Trees section of Ancestry. It has him born in Marion County, Ohio on Aug. 4 1851. He is listed as the son of Thomas Harper and Sybbil (unknown). He is listed as married to Harriet (Hattie) Elizabeth Clark on Oct. 23 1913. Louis is reported to have died on Feb. 3 1937 in Robinson, Brown, Kansas. Harriet was born Sept. 2 1865 in Coshocton County, Ohio. Harriet is the daughter of Gabriel Clark (Aug. 15, 1815) and Rebecca Smith English (June 21, 1832) and Louis Harper is listed as her second husband.
