Hi Carolyn, Some wonderful information about the HARPERs in the deep South from Jean Maurer. I keep waiting to hear something about the HARPERs of Georgetown, District of Columbia. My grgrandfather, Grafton HARPER m Elizabeth FOLEY in 1842. Grafton was born 1818 in Georgetown as was his father, Joseph b a 1789. So far, after several years, I have connected with two cousins from this line and we are busily trying to research all the churches, cemeteries, census, etc. in DC.
