Hello All List Members, In order to stir some action on our list, I suggest a new approach to aid in our research. Code name: "Shotgun". This involves info to be submitted en masse. The info would involve only one individual and his/her vitals only. Where no vitals are known then immediate ancestors or descendants would be submitted. The point is to concentrate and focus all energies on one person, instead of a family. All parties on the list would see all vital data on this person and people could contact each other directly about that particular data to see if they can make a hit. This creates a real sense of family, where we all work together to accomplish a task. Instead of data on an individual hitting the list sporadically, here and there, all list members with pertinent data hits the list at the same time. Obviously, everyone is going to want to do this at the same time, which presents a problem. Therefore the list manager should decide who to "shotgun". This can be done by just reading the posts and choosing a possible candidate. Time frame? How long do you "shotgun" someone? I suggest a week is sufficient. That would be four a month, 48 a year. Anyway, let me know if you think this is feasable.
