She was preceded in death by a husband, William Preston Barnes, a son, Vernon Barnes, and a great-granddaughter. Survivers include three sons, Dean Barnes and Rommy Barnes, both of Sheridan, and Jerrell Barnes of Little Rock; a daughter, Barbara Sue McBeth of Mabelvale, a sister; Faye Brewer of Sheridan; a stepdaughter, Marjorie Atchley of Sheridan; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery, Sheridan, AR
