Hi, This is my first posting. I am searching for any information regarding Caroline Harper. She first shows up in Defiance Co., OH. in Adams Township. She is married to William Wegert and they had four children between 1871 and 1876. Her birthplace is Germany on her children's census. They are not listed in the census for 1870. Caroline (Harper) Wegert and her husband William's children were, William Wegert, m. Emma Bennicke Hannah Fredericka Wegert Frederick Augustus Wegert Anna Wegert Caroline's husband died in 1878 and she married Carl Hamann shortly thereafter. In 1897 they were living in Kankakee Co., Illinois. That is all I know of Caroline Harper. The 1900 census for Defiance Co., Adams Township of Ohio has a Wm. Harper born in 1863 or 1867. He married a Victoria and they had 13 children. They may be from the same Harper Family. Any information would be appreciated. Steve Morgan
