Born Jun 1753 in England26. Died 16 May 1831. Buried in Ball Cemetery, Mercer Co., Pa.26. Occupation Farmer. In 1797 he located in Lake township, Mercer county, Pa and was a pioneer horticulturist. He was an overseer of the Cool Spring township in 1807. Is on the 1802 Mercer county tax list for Cool Spring township. Military: Was boatswain on the schooner Liberty under Commodore Smith in 1775, also was a gunner on the Andrew Doria in 1776 in Continental Navy. Recieved a pension in 1818(#S39637) Daniel Harper was both a soldier and a sailor in the revolutionary war.26 He married Elizabeth MILLER, 1788. Born 1765. Died 183326. She married Amos Walton BALL49 Rev., son of Caleb BALL & Phoebe WALTON, 14 Jul 1817 in Cool Springs,Mercer Co.,Pa. Born 9 Dec 1792 in Washington Co., Pa. Died 17 May 186126 in Deleware township,Mercer Co., Pa. Buried in Ball Cemetery, Deleware Township, Mercer Co., Pa26. Religion Methodist. He had at least 7 children according to 1840 census. Moved to Delaware township in 1824. Was a justice of the peace of Pymatuning,Hempfield,Otter Creek, and Delware townships for many years. In his later years ,after age 60, he was a minister of a Methodist Episcopal Church in Mercer Co., Pa. Military: He was a veteran of the war of 1812. Served in Dennison and Clark county, PA militia.
