Hi! I am interested in Harper's in Scotland. Does someone out there have a connection with James Harper? I have very little info on him. He was married on Dec. 31, 1846 in Abbey (Paisley), Renfrewshire, Scotland to Elisabeth Davidson. They both resided in the Abbey parish in the town of Johnston. James was a tailor and this family moved to Glasgow and by 1865 to Belfast, Ireland. They had three children that I know of : Margaret Hunter Harper b. 7 Oct 1847 SCTL Elisabeth Harper b. 1 Dec 1858 Glasgow, SCTL Mary Montgomerie Harper b. 11 May 1862 Girvan, Ayrshire, SCTL I also have some pictures of other children, but not verified: James Jr., and Jesse.
