Hello, I am new to the list. The only definite HARPER I have is my grtgrt grandmother Mary Ann HARPER who was born in 1820 in GA, moved to AL sometime probably as a child md. Henry William RICHARDSON (b. 1820 SC) abt 1842 and went to AR with many other HARPERs. She and Henry went to Ouachita Co. before 1843 and were living next door to William HARPER b. 1813 GA, in 1850. In the next county, Union, were living Henry b.1814 GA, Samuel b. 1809 GA , Samuel B. b.1805 GA(this one had all of his children in TN and MS ), and Wyatt b.1820 GA (maybe a twin to Mary Ann). They were all married in AL and had some children there before coming to AR. Two were married to SHACKLEFORD sisters. A couple of the marriages I found in Greene Co. AL. Mary Ann and Henry's children were named: Stephen Wesley ,James Buchanan, Thomas W., Henry Clinton, Winfield Scott, Mary Ann, and Peyton Dooley. They all went to Red River Co., TX in the 1870s.
