I am looking for any informations on the Talbot County, MD. Harpers. Algernon S. Harper (1850 census) was married twice. He had five children with his first wife: Martha, James, Mary, and Thomas. His second wife, Mary R.A. Sherwood, (my great great grandmother) had three sons with Algernon - Charles R., John Frank (my great grandfather), and William W. Harper. After Mary R.A. Sherwood Harper died the family split up. Charles and John went to live with their grandfather, Richard Sherwood. William W. went to live with the Berridge family and Algernon lived with the Reddie family. Later John Frank Harper went to Lancaster County, Va. John married twice. His first wife, Dora Lee, had the following known children with John: Basil, Agnes, Frank, Ethel, and Cora. His second wife, Corella Sampson (from Northumberland Co., Va.) had the following known children with John: Linwood, Doris (Daisy), Lillian, Carlton, and Glenn (my grandfather). John Frank Harper moved his family to Baltimore, MD. sometime around 1910. John Frank Harper died in 1918. Does anyone have information on these Harpers?
