I just wanted to let anyone researching Harriet Francis (Harper) McDowell know the information on familysearch is incorrect. It shows Harriet as a child of Thomas Wesley Harper and Lucinda Harper. The child born in Aug 1850 to them was a male. He is listed on the Fayette co Texas federal census for 1850, 1860, and 1870. His name is Francis Marion Harper and he was born in West Point, Fayette co Texas. He is buried in Cotula Texas. Francis AKA Frank is my ggrandfather. I dont know who Harriet Francis Harper is and I dont know where the incorrect information orginiated. She may be related but I know Thomas and Lucinda didn't have a daughter named Harriet.
