    3. Leveda, I don't see anything on your Jeremiah V. Harper yet. But I will keep an eyes out for him. A wagon maker should stand out in the library or somewhere, since you even know that he was born in KY. 2. Liane & Starr Elliot
    3. Recently my Mother told me that there had been talk in the family that her Harpers often spoke of Harpers Ferry. A possibility my Harpers are from that area is high. I've been able to go back to a Benjamin Harper thus far, but he's been a brick wall since I started my research. http://www.angelfire.com/realm/survivors/Harper.wpd is my Harper family tree thus far. Any assistance helpful! Liane Elliiot ===== Until all are one, we shall remember - The Survivors! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! 3. Sandy, For the Harper's that settled in KY you might want to contact Nancy (clssyldy307@cs.com). She has lots of KY info and replied to your question about "where in KY?": Harpers settled in Woodford Co KY. I will need to dig into my papers and research and see what Harper's I might have during that period and that lived in Kentucky. Jacob Harper b. abt. 1785 married and Jemima Rose, both born in KY, but there children were born in IN Charles Rose 1824 Mathias R. 1826 Eliza Ann 1829 SaraH E. 1830 Malinda Caroline 1838 Martin Lea 1837 Alonzo Drake 1838 ------------------------------- Then we have an Indiana Source Book III (from State Library) showing Knox Co., IN marriage licenses & certificates: Harper, Henry - Eliza Hadden 12-6-1825 Harper, Jacob - Jemima Rose 11-20-1817 Harper, James - Margrette Curry 12-4-1812 Harper, John T. - Caty Glass 2-2-1830 Harper, Joseph - Martha Palmer 11-9-1830 Harper, Thomas - Polly Sullinger 4-2-1821 Harper, William - Elizabeth Dunn 1-29-1813 This info may not help, but maybe the marriages will help another HARPER who is researching. This came from Doug Harper's files, that he so freely shared with me. Good Luck in your search, Laura (Harper) Hurst JOxner9137@aol.com wrote: Laura Where in Kentucky did they settle? 3. I see you have reference to the Raph Harper from England. I am descended from Thomas Harper, VA through John and Lydia, to Henry Harper, b. 1700 Essex Co., VA to Reubin Harper. There was one person that said that this Raph/Ralph was Thomas's father, but the documentation just wasn't there. It was mere speculation. Not one good researcher has got Thomas over the water. 2. They emigrated to America in 1737 and settled in Oakham, Worchester County, MA, being one of the first settlers in that township."
