I came across an old newspaper photo , do not know how old this is, It shows 5 generations of Harkeys: John A. Harkey, age 83, Walter Harkey, Stella Harkey Beaver, Henry Beaver & Lela Mae Beaver. It also mentions 6 other living children of John A., : Adolphus Harkey of San Diego, CA., Mrs. Attie Eudy of Albemarie NC, Mrs. J.N. Moose of Salisbury N.C., Jesse Harkey from St.Louis,MO., Mrs. Paul Barringer & Mrs. Homer Flowe of Mt. Pleasant N.C.
