Hello Bill, I know these people. I personally knew Wilmar, although he went by William Orville. I see on the SS Death Index his real name was Wilmar. I suppose he didn't like it and changed it because the information he sent me had William Orville Harkey on it. Do you know if he did change it? I am descended from Lydia Harkey, half sister of William Monroe Harkey, father of your Monassie. William Monroe (Uncle Billy) married Emma Caroline Dooly, a sister of Robert Dooly, who married Lydia Harkey, William Monroe's half-sister. So.......Harkey brother & sister married Dooly brother & sister, making their children double cousins. Monassie would have been my father's double cousin. I would love to correspond with you off the list about our family. Please drop me a line. I would like to know more about Monassie and where he lived and died. I do not find him in the SS Death Index although I feel sure he must have had a SS card. Do you happen to have Harkey pictures?
