    1. Re: [HARKEY-L] Ohio 1910 Census Miracode Index More Foreign Harkey's
    2. Nan and HARKEY-L, I'm sure they weren't documentation errors. I think I found one that you mentioned, STEVEN HARKEY. From the Ellis Island website, I got the following information for ESTVAN (Steven to English speakers) HARKAY. Traveling with him were ANNA HARKAY, 33, and ANNA HARKAY, 8. (The Ohio Miracode says that his wife's name is Anna, b Hungary, so it's a good match.) HARKAY, Estvan Ethnicity: Hungarian Date of Arrival: May 27, 1893 Age: 38y Gender: M Ship of Travel: Zaandam Port of Departure: Rotterdam, South Holland, The Netherlands I'm puzzled by all the surprised reactions to finding HARKEYs from other countries in the fairly recent U.S. censuses. Haven't we always known that they didn't all come to America in 1743? Alma Alma

Its not WHEN they came, but WHERE they came FROM.
