Mary Harkey Russell bird@scrtc.com Paul wrote this--------- While there appears to be a relationship between Harkeys and Herches it was interesting to see multiple countries of origin for the Harkey family name from the recent 1880 census material. Does this suggest that the change in name goes back beyond the original immigrants to the US? Are there other countries besides Germany and France(and Ireland?) for the Harkey spelling?
