    1. Re: [HARKEY-L] Harkeys - Iredell Co, NC - 1860 census
    2. Hi John-- Thanks so much for the three (John W., Jesse, and Daywalt) 1860 census entries from Iredell Co. I don't think there were any HARKEYs in Iredell Co. in 1850; at least, I didn't find any. Jesse and John W. were in Cabarrus Co. in 1850. Does anyone know where Daywalt HARKEY and family were in 1850? He's in Cabarrus Co. in 1840 and in Iredell Co. in 1860. I was thinking that he may have used a different first name, but I didn't find his wife and children, either. Alma

    3. These appear to have been kids of John Henry Harkey and Margaret Christina Beaver. Lots of Beavers in the SW corner of Rowan Co - 1850 onwards - and scattered through eastern Iredell Co, NC (along with Lipes, Barringers, Blackwelders, Bosts, etc.) John Question: Did this John W. Harkey married 2 times? I have his wife as Elizabeth Corl. His wife in 1860 was Mary. Hmm. John W. was living with Peter and Esther Lentz in the 1850 census for Cabarrus Co, NC. Occupation: Tailor. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Junco9@aol.com> To: <jfspeight@mindspring.com>; <HARKEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 06, 2002 4:47 PM Subject: Re: [HARKEY-L] Harkeys - Iredell Co, NC - 1860 census > Hi John-- > > Thanks so much for the three (John W., Jesse, and Daywalt) 1860 census > entries from Iredell Co.
