Catherine was a daughter of Levi Harkey and Julia Ann Lipe. She was twin sister of Caroline Barbara Harkey who married Riley Harkey . Catherine married James Moudy and we have that reference in the Gunter letter that her husband was beaten and hung by Federal Troops. This apparently happened in Harkey's Valley Yell Co. AR. I think that Catherine and James Moudy had one son named Alonzo Carroll Moudy. I think that Catherine went to San Saba TX. as a widow and died there about 1878. I have a descendant a 3rd great grand daughter of Catherine, asking me for information and I have none to give her. Did Catherine appear on the 1870 census and if so where was she? Is there any further record of her son Alonzo C. Moudy. Is he on the 1880 census and if so where?
