    3. I'm back----So we have Conrad as being the father of Johannes? According to the Turk family at least. There was a Conrad Harkey in Virginia who kinda disappeared in 1755---- died???? So I tell myself--- What if this Conrad was the father of Johannes and he came to America.. How did he get here? What ship did he come on.? I looked at Strassburg and Henke until I was blind. Didn't find Conrad. I did find that when Johannes name was signed on the passenger list it was signed " Johannes Jacob Hürche" age 23. In another place it was"Johannes Kenke" Since we know how spelling was messed up let us look at two more names that were on the lydia "Johan Jacob Kecker" age 26 and "Hendrick Kecker " age.19 and Christian Härshy. Now there could have been women and children on the Lydia but they were not named. But at the end of the list it says Persons in all 73 under that is 32 and total of 105. There are names of 73 men. Whether the others were women and children--I don't know. Now to confuse things even more. A woman wrote to me and said that Johannes was really a Hinche and she gave a history of him and it was our Johannes. She said he returned to Germany and got his wife and returned on the ship Chesterfield in 1749-- so again I go blind. The book lists these men as Wirtumbergers. Listed is Johannes Henche and Simon Hendche. and Hanns Jerch Haisch and Jacob Hauch What do I think??? 1. We need more info <G> 2. I think the woman was right about Henche on the Chesterfield being hers and wrong about him being ours. 3. I have copies of those ship lists and would be happy to send them to any of you that want to go blind. I go around and around with this even in my sleep! Mary Russell [email protected]
