I have papers from several sources with minor differences on them and would like to get things right. John Harkey son of Martin Harkey and Catherine Barringer left a will in Feb 1821 in Mecklenburg Co. N.C. He left his things to his daughter Susannah his wife Elizabeth , his granddaughter Susannah Caroline some unnamed children and sons Martin and Solomon as executors . I have John Harkey born 1765 and died 1821 He married Elizabeth ???? Their children were (FROM SOURCE #1) 1. Martin Luther feb. 13, 1789 Mecklenburg Co. NC married Catherine Conder/Condor and died 1865 in Upshur Co. Tx. 2. Susannah Harkey vorn 1790 3. Peter Harkey 1792 married Peggy Drew in 1813 and died Mechlenburg Co. NC in 1869 4. and 5-- two daughters one in 1792 and next in 1793 6. John Harkey born 1796 died 1883 7 Daniel David Harkey born Nov 13, 1797 Mecklenburg Co. NC married Dec 17, 1822 to Mary Ann Bankston in Wilkes Co. Ga. and died in 1858 in Dunklin Co.Missouri. 8. Solomon Harkey born 1800 married Sophia Cress and died in 1887 9. Joshua Harkey born 1802 married Trisse Hooks Dec 19,1826 10. Mathias Harkey born after 1802 married Elizabeth Starnes. (THEIR CHILDREN FROM SOURCE #2.) PLEASE WHICH IS RIGHT???? 1.
