    1. Re: Joseph Harkey History Article
    2. Hi Kay, I can't find our original snail-mail correspondence, but Phyllis Dothager, in her letter to me in March, said that I had sent you "excerpts" from Joseph Harkey's family history (although I think you said you had got it from someone ELSE I had sent it to. Whatever!). What Clifton Harkey sent me a couple of years ago was itself an excerpt. If I remember correctly, the entire history has more on the recent history of his line after they removed to Texas in the mid-1800s. Mr. Harkey assumed, rightly, that I wouldn't be interested in that part. My understanding at the time I corresponded with Clifton H was that the typescript had never been published. You said you have only a few pages. I know the formats I use to send that out, so if you'll tell me how few you have and what they cover, I can tell if you got everything I have. It's HOT today! Supposed to hit 90! Fortunately, humidity isn't a problem in the Pacific Northwest--a fact that outsiders have trouble believing because of our reputation for rain. I'm taking care of my daughter's Bernese mountain dog pup, and we're both looking for cool spots in the house. Alma
