Harkeys All, I have done some looking around for the deed to the Peach Orchard that once belonged to Robert Lowe Harkey. I would like to know who sold it to him, where it was and what happened to it upon his death. I have heard all his property was foreclosed after he died, his widow moved in with family. It seems that a Jacquelyn Bonds knows, if not of this orchard, of another one in the area. I found her through the Pope Co. rootsweb list. She responded to my query, as did many others. The area being Russelville, Pope County. This orchard she is referring to is in Dardanelle and currently belongs to the Nordin Family. She says the Nordin family is related to Harkey/Smith. Sarah Katherine (Kate) Smith having been RL Harkeys wife. I felt foolish when she told me this, I don't remember seeing the Nordin name anywhere. I guess I missed something. Does anyone know who they are, and if so, how they fit into the descendant list?
