This Will comes from the Abstracts of Will Book B Pope County, Arkansas 1860-1910, and is the Will of John Kashaw Harkey, who was the son of Isaac Mathais Harkey and Maria Phillipena Shinn Harkey. John Kashaw Harkey is my 2nd Great Grandfather. P. 61-62 JOHN K. HARKEY 12 Jan. 1863- filed 17 Aug. 1868 To wife ANN M. HARKEY all estate during widowhood. If said wife remarry she to have lawful dowery only. Signed: JOHN K. HARKEY. Wts: Mary M. Harkey, Elizabeth Wells. 17 Aug. 1868 Jacob W. Harkey, Luther Harkey & James W. Harkey gave sworn statement they had no insterest in estate of JOHN K. HARKEY & that sd. JOHN K. HARKEY died on 27 July 1868. Clk: Wallace H. Hickox. so far I have never found where John K. Harkey is buried, just that he died in Pope Co., AR., his wife Ann M. Shaw Harkey is buried in the Sandlin Cemetery in Ola, AR. Yell Co. she was b. 20 Aug 1831 d. 17 Dec 1905.
