    1. John HARKEY, s/o "old Martin"; his will
    2. Dear Harkeys, This is (1) a posting of the children of John HARKEY and (2) John HARKEY's will. The following family list shows the children of John HARKEY and Elizabeth (last name not known). John was the eldest son of "Old Martin." The family list was compiled about 30 years ago by Joseph Harkey ("The Harkey Family of North Carolina"). THERE ARE MANY ERRORS, SO DON'T TAKE IT AS GOSPEL TRUTH! Use it as a guide. Over the years, where I found or received conflicting or additional data, I added them and their sources in double brackets [[ ]]. I'm sure there are other corrections and additions still to be made, so please check the list against your own copying or research. It's kind of a mess, but it might be useful as a base from which to build a more accurate chart.
