Dear Harkeys, This is (1) a posting of the children of Henry HARKEY and (2) the will of Henry's widow, Mary (Melcher) HARKEY. The following descendancy chart shows the children of Henry HARKEY and Mary MELCHER. Henry was the second son of "Old Martin." The family list was compiled 20-30 years ago by Joseph Harkey ("The Harkeys of North Carolina"). Where I found conflicting or additional data, I added them (and their sources) in double brackets [[ ]]. Kay Wood has already posted information on Henry's oldest child, John (2-1). Can anyone do the same for the other children? Alma Roark Johnson [email protected] ========= 2. Henry HARKEY (Hinrich HERCHE), b ca 1766, d ca 1826, Rowan Co.
