    1. Re: [HARKEY-L] Henry?
    2. Hi Mary-- > I have Regina Dry's name as Anna Regina Dry???? So far we don't seem to have any proof that Anna and Regina are or aren't the same person; no one has come up with a second marriage for Paul. Does anyone else have evidence that Regina DRY's full name is Anna Regina DRY? Is it possible that, having seen Paul's wife as Anna in one place and Regina in another, you, or someone else, just put them together? (That's the sort of thing I'd do, thinking at the time that I'd remember why I did it.) If Leanna's age, 33, is correct in the 1850 census, she would have been born 1816-1818. If Leanna and Regina are the same person, that would have made her 12-14 when she got married. (Am I doing the arithmetic right?) That's pretty young, but not impossibly so. I've always thought Paul HARKEY was one of the most interesting HARKEYs around. Maybe I read too much between the lines; but his mother said some odd things about him in her will, and he went to Kentucky when apparently no other HARKEY did, and he ended up in Missouri one county away from my own ancestors. 1. [HARKEY-L] Anna Regina vs Regina
    2. Nina Harkey
    3. Keep in mind, Anna was a very commonly used baptismal name that would drop off after baptism. some records may have kept the name, others may have dropped it. So, example.... Anna Regina would become Regina after baptism, and often take a confirmation name later... So Anna Regina becomes Regina, then becomes Regina <confirmation name of choice> later. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Junco9@aol.com> To: <HARKEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 22, 2001 2:03 PM Subject: Re: [HARKEY-L] Henry? > Hi Mary-- > > > I have Regina Dry's name as Anna Regina Dry???? > > So far we don't seem to have any proof that Anna and Regina are or aren't the > same person;
