    3. Thanks Mary, That is wonderful information. The death date jives with this old letter I have, so I think we can all say the Uncle Perry Stafford Emma wrote about is this James P. Stafford who married Sarah C.Harkey. I think from what Mary Russell, Judith, Pat, Alma and some others sent we can say for certain Sarah C. is the daughter of Moses M. Harkey. Thanks a million to all of you for working on this and answering my question. Mary, do you happen to have anything in the cemetery records showing a death date for Ambrose Moudy? Emma may have spelled his name wrong in this old letter. If we had a death date for him, and if it is close to the date of this old letter then we could say for sure it was Ambrose instead of Ambers Moudy. Then we need to find out who Ambrose married. From the book "Marriages of Yell County, Arkansas 1831-1900" by The Yell County Historical and Genealogical Society I fine a marriage showing W. T. Moudy to Ida Harkey, but she was a cousin to Emma Harkey's husband, and this would not have made him an Uncle, so I think Ambers or Ambrose Moudy would have had to marry one of the older Harkey girls. Also in the same marriage book I see: A. William A. Moudy to Mrs. Lizzie Thomas on 2 Aug. 1878, but find in the Thomas marriages; Lizzie Dawson to James H. Thomas 25 Feb. 1866. This appears to be the (MRS.) Lizzie Thomas who married the Moudy. So........ it appears she was not a Harkey but a Dawson. And that brings me back to my original question last night, who is this Uncle Ambers (Ambrose) Moudy??
