    1. [HARKEY-L] Oklahoma Harkeys
    2. Mary Russell
    3. Kathy DeCarli----- and List---------- Which of our Harkey's went to Oklahoma. I know in that old Harkey manuscript it talks about who was at the reunion and mentions that the Moses I, Harkey branch of the Levi Harkey branch is represented by Newman Harkey and his wife Rena of Okemah Ok. and their children John Harkey II , and Grandson Toby and their daughter un-named and Huie Harkey and wife and their daughter Laura Ann. I feel like I should know more. I was sent all the Harkeys in Oklahoma for the 1900 census and I've lost it. I know my father used to visit Harkey cousins I think it must have been Newman-- My father joined the army in Holdensville OK. I think he was there visiting kin. Maybe a cousin joined with him> I can't find that out either. Surely we can find the Harkey that was Kathy Speaks DeCarli's great Grandma. Kathy, Do you have any ideas of what years we are talking about? Would your Great Grandfather show on that 1900 census? Just looking at your letter below leads me to believe that your Great Grandfather had to be named Speaks. <G> It is too bad that death certificate didn't list her first name? Maybe someone on the list can help us get this right. I remain your confused list manager <G> Mary Harkey Russell bird@scrtc.com
