Eli Columbus was the youngest son of Levi and Julia Ann Lipe. Eli and his wife, Mary Jeanette Weems, are buried in Oakland Cemetery, Madill, Marshall County, OK. Eli and the mysterious Jacob Harkey were brothers. Jacob was my great, great grandfather. Ironically, Madill is about 14 miles from my hometown of Tishomingo, Johnston Co., OK. It's also 8 miles west of Milburn. Interestingly enough, my family didn't move to Tishomingo until several years after Eli's death. I have been to the Oakland Cemetery and have seen the gravesite. Took pics, but I don't think they turned out well--it started raining about the time we got there! Will see what I can do to get the actual information from the stone if anyone is interested.
