The only date I have on Daniel Valentine's death is that he died somewhere between 1872-1880 in Missouri or Kansas. Could you tell me why you say it's Wyandotte, Kansas? The information I have says that Margaret Ann Weller died in March 1848 and I believe the twins, Mary and Martha died in June 1848. Maybe someone out there could help us with Daniels daughter's name....is it Danzilla or Drucilla? I didn't have Charles or Bell listed because I didn't have them. I either missed DeLeans post or wasn't paying attention. Hello All, I am new to this. So, maybe somebody on the list could help me out a little. It is my understanding that my great grandfather was a Robert Harkey from Arkansas. I do not know for sure what county. I remember long ago in crockett County Texas my grandfather, John Harkey, that the family had originally come from North Carolina and settled in Arkansas early 18 hundreds. I got a listing of 6 families with Harkeys on that 1880 census. The Two families that have Harkey born in Ireland spell their name HARKIE. I will add that spelling to my mind. One of these Harkie families born in Ireland had a nephew born in England. We did get around <G> One James HARKY also had a mother in law born in Ireland I was looking for that early George Harkey that I have been wondering about for several years. The one mentioned in our records, that lived in Lancaster Co. PA . He would have been dead by 1880 but I did get a George Harkey age 38 born in PA and living in York Co. Town of Conewago Sarah age 34 was his wife born in PA Lindsey C. was there son age 13 born in PA Mary E. Rohler was a Niece age 3 born in PA Levi Zimmerman brother in law marked as married but only 17 years old? Andrew Benedick father in law age 74 born in PA. I am excited about the above people. This Andrew Benedick was written about in York Co. His mother was Elizabeth Spahr and her maiden name was Rudisill. If you are still with me <G> Rudisill is one of my lines. Barbara Rudisill married Godfrey Lipe and Julia Ann Lipe married Levi Harkey. They( Rudisill, Lipe, Harkey ) went to NC and ( Lipe & Harkey ) on to AR. The names are connected -- they were related not directly but close enough to make me believe that at least this George Harkey was related to the rest of us "Johannes" people.
