Hi all While my present Harding research is stuck in South Africa (earliest a James Harding b. 27/11/1847 in I believe the "OLD CAPE COLONY") I am trying hard to get a connection between James and the original imigrant to South Afica. I am also working in collaboration several with several other (so far unconnected) Harding lines looking for their English roots. I would appreciate anyone knowing of a Harding family member who "disapeared" into South Africa, particularly to the Old British Cape Colony in the early 1800's. One of my fellow researchers is trying to find a Dr. William Watten Harding who is believe to have immigated to the Cape Colony from England in the 1820's. He was also believed to have some connection with the Sheffield Silver Works. Any claimants to William Watten? I am on the digest mode at present due to high volume coming in on another list Regards and good hunting Cliff Jones 47A Larne Avenue Pakuranga Auckland New Zealand
