Fordyce I think I am descended from that William Handley (husband of Margaret Christie) thru his great granddaughter Rebecca Handley (from Ancestry.com--Ancestry World Tree-Search Results), that is, if this is the Rebecca Handley, born in South Carolina between 1880-1890 and married Matthew Dickey (in York Co., SC) about 1800, moved to Franklin Co., TN, where Matthew D. died, and she then married Sharp Dougan about 1812. I have independently come up with the given names of William and John as her father and grandfather. I will appreciate any help with regard to proving the above.
