Well Hello there...did you know that you are supposed to be born in Ireland? That is where our Handleys(actually my husbands..line) is supposed to have come from..We are in the US..and you are where I am frantically trying to do research on my father's lines..infact Yorkshire is one of the places that I am trying to find out just where my Swaine family were... ...Have you checked on the Ancestry.com for Handley's? I have found several on that...just type in the last name and all of the Handley's will come up and then you can search through them and see if any are your area..and then you can find their e-mail and write them..I have lots of Handley's that are also doing research but I fear that they are all here..doing research trying to get back to your end of the globe... I also have a distant cousin in Sussex that has been kind enough to help me sort thru the history and information...I also need to find some of those people so we can connect our lines..I know it does just I haven't been able to do it yet.. How long have you been doing research? I would put your interests everywhere like I have and eventually some kind soul will come to your aid and help you find something..I have been very fortunate as I have a very unusual last name for my dad's line..Knightall...so everyone has to be a relative..and there are not that many..just a handful..and also the Nightall's are distant cousins but of course we haven't found the connection yet... Have you put your name on the GenWeb yet..? I also have put it on every message board I could find...for you never know when some kind soul will get tired of seeing your stuff and look it up for you... Good luck and hope that you find the connection that you seek..now I have a Handley history..you might enjoy reading about...just for drill... http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~ehandley/handley.htm Course this is how they got to America.. Thanks for the e-mail...C.Olsen..Alaska
