Dear All I am interested that a lot of Handley descendants in America think the name originated in Ireland. A quick search of the IGI shows many Handleys in Yorkshire and across to Worcester in the early 1500's. Could it be that American immigrants came from Ireland and the English ones went elsewhere such as Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. I have forwarded a query from Les Handley to the list.
